Ready-Made Products

I make every product on my website by hand. Each piece will closely resemble the image on the website, but might differ ever-so-slightly because it’s handmade. I make every effort to display colors as accurately as possible in photos, but I don’t have any control over your computer monitor’s display of colors. Therefore, I can’t guarantee that the color of your product will exactly match the color you saw on your screen.
Keep your paper flowers out of direct sunlight and away from moisture. You can use a duster to gently dust the flower, or use a blow dryer set on Low and Cool to remove dust.
For ready-made products found in the shop, I offer shipping to all 50 United States (including Alaska and Hawaii). I do not currently ship ready-made products internationally or to APO/DPO/military addresses. I will ship commissions internationally.
You can return any item from the shop within 30 days of receipt for any reason. Items need to be in the same condition as you received it, and in the original packaging. You are also responsible for return postage. Please contact me if you would like to return an item. Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns on commissions.

Commissions

Yes, I do ship commissions internationally. Duties, customs, and/or taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

Because a commission is a bespoke design, created just for you, I’m unable to accept returns. That being said, it’s very important to me that you’re happy with your commission. If you’re feeling dissatisfied, please contact me at emily@hummingbirddisco.com so I can make things right.

Rentals

You’ll find size details on each listing. Sizes range from 10’ x 10’ for a pipe and drape backdrop to individual free-standing flowers that are ~5’ tall and ~2’ wide.
No, all of our backdrops are free-standing and can be placed in the middle of the room or slightly away from the wall to avoid obstacles.
Here are a few great ideas for your backdrop rental: behind a cake table, behind the sweetheart table, as a ceremony backdrop, or as a photo booth in the reception area.
Sure! Please let me know If you’d like to have your backdrop/flowers in one location for the ceremony and a different location for the reception. I will remain on site and move everything for you after the ceremony. Due to the delicate nature of the flowers and liability issues, you cannot move any of the backdrops or free-standing flowers.
The backdrop is all yours for 8 hours.
I recommend booking 3-4 months in advance. If you’re interested in a custom design, I recommend booking at least 6 months in advance.
Delivery, set up, and breakdown fees are included on all orders within 30 miles of Durango, Colorado. Locations outside of a 30-mile radius of Durango, Colorado will be quoted individually.
I’m based in Durango, Colorado. If your event is within 30 miles of Durango then all delivery, set-up and breakdown fees are included in the rental price. If your event is further away, it’s no problem. I am happy to travel anywhere in the Four Corners region. Additional fees will apply to rentals outside of a 30-mile radius of Durango.
To secure your reservation, you’ll need to pay a 50% deposit. The balance is due 1 week before your event. I am unable to deliver rentals that have not been paid in full. All rentals are subject to an 8.4% Durango, Colorado sales tax.
When you submit a deposit, I reserve a product for your specific date and fully commit to your event. Therefore, the 50% deposit is non-refundable. I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and as long as you provide notice of cancellation at least 48 hours before the event date, you will not need to pay the balance, or I will refund the balance if it has already been paid.
Accidents happen! I’ll try to clean or repair any damage myself. If a flower needs to be removed from the inventory and replaced, you will be responsible for the cost of replacement of the item.

As long as you can guarantee the backdrop won’t get wet, it can be used outside. Durango does not get a lot of rain, therefore, the backdrop can usually be used outside.

If it’s raining on the day of your event, plan to have the backdrop set up for your tented/indoor reception only.
